Break the Bank:
Shampoo: Tie between:Bumble and Bumble Gentle Shampoo, 33.8-Ounces Bottle& Kerastase Bain Nutri-Thermiques
Comments: With how dry my hair is, I can use the Masque Chroma Riche daily. I haven’t used the Bumble & Bumble much due to availability here. And only occasionally splurge on the Kerastase now. I resort to the Indola brand of shampoo and conditioner for dry hair sold in salon size bottles at Al Nazih. It is a good 2nd choice and is more affordable. The 2 liter bottles last for ages.
Foundation: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation:
Comments: hands down the best. My cousin commented on a girl’s night out how fabulous my skin looked. It must have been the martinis or the foundation!
Eyeshadow: Bobbi Brown & Chanel
Comments: Currently I am mainly wearing Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres in 18 Kaska Beige. To make your eyes pop, add a dab of Ombres Palipierres Eyeshadow in #40 to the center of the bottom of the lid. Just dab the liquid applicator repeatedly in the same spot and then smudge to blend. My hairdresser could not believe that I had done my own makeup the first day I debuted this palette! (Taught to me by my friend and trusty Chanel rep. Of course I didn’t come up with it on my own)
Blush: Shu uemura in # 33E
Mascara: Dior DiorShow Unlimited Mascara
Comments: Just love this mascara. I have switched several times to other brands but keep going back. It really shows off the lashes, can be reapply later in the day without having the additional coats look caked on. Removes easily.
Lip Liner: Bobbi Brown in Brownie Pink
Comments: My favorite used to be Clinique’s quickliner for lips in chili. The chili color can fall into those little lines around your lips that develop with age and look not so nice. As your lipstick wears off, with the brownie pink, you are not left with a hideous ring around your lips either!
Lipstick: Chanel’s Rouge Double Intensite Ultrawear Lip color in Rose Agate. For a nice red/blue for evenings out: Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit in #38 Fatal Dandy
Comments: The Chanel lipstick lasts a long time particularly without the use of the lip gloss that comes with it.
Lip Gloss: Bonnie Bell… just kidding, remember that? Lorac Lip Polish
Comments: This is great for going out. I don’t know that I could wear it daily particularly in windy weather for fear of having my hair stick to my lips.
Face Illuminator: Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector #00
Comments: Again this is strictly for a special night out as who has time? I apply it under my foundation all over to make my skin glow!
Comments: The former I could use daily and didn’t buy it for after sun but to moisturize. It has a great smell and is super thick. The later is a slice of heaven in regard to the scent. I received it as a gift and splurge on it periodically.
Comments: Makes shaving anywhere a breeze. As the built in bars stop delivering moisture, I will add shaving cream as I found the razors still had a couple more days of wear! I included them here as they are pricey but worth it.
Cheap as Chips:
Comments: This is great for all skin types. I prefer this to any brand name product that is why I didn’t list any brand names. It is not available in Qatar and sometimes I can’t even find it at Target. However, you can get it online for $6.49
Comments:To make skin super soft, I will put on a coat of the baby oil gel right out of the shower when skin is still wet. Then I will apply a coat of Nivea over top of this. Great when you have time as you need to let this absorb before you put on clothes or you will end up with oil spots on your clothes. I throw on a robe (terry) and get ready while it absorbs. Skin ends up very soft, like baby’s skin. Great for date night out with your honey!
